CNR™ (Cancer)
Rowland Formula 8 Cancer is a disease of weakened immunity. CNR™ is a liquid formula designed to strengthen the immune processes to help the body overcome cancer – all forms of cancer. CNR can form the basis of an entirely natural cancer treatment program – or it can be used as a companion to medical cancer treatments. CNR typically reduces or eliminates the side effects from chemo. "It is a false idea that the benefits of chemotherapy are blunted if one takes vitamin A, vitamin C and/or selenium along with the chemo. The opposite is true. The latest evidence is that nutrients such as these make conventional cancer treatments work better." (Ralph W. Moss, Antioxidants Against Cancer). CNR is an immune builder, rich in nutrients that increase oxygenation of blood and tissues. Cancer cannot live in a highly oxygenated environment. CNR is nutritional support designed to support the body against cancer which is already present. Its intended use is as therapy, not prevention. Once the cancer has been overcome, RTRE™ is the supplement of choice to prevent its recurrence (because of its high content of antioxidants and free radical inhibitors). Suggested Use: Build up to 4 capfuls (120 mL) daily, in divided amounts with meals. If diarrhea develops (because of high vitamin C), reduce intake until diarrhea disappears – then increase CNR gradually to bowel tolerance. Take three more bottles after cancer is in remission, then switch to RTRE as a preventative.
In a base containing Echinacea, Red Clover, Damiana, Burdock, Marshmallow, Elecampagne, Buckthorn, Liver, Thymus and Spleen Note: Some people may develop a yellowish tint to their skin because of the high amount of beta carotene in CNR. This discoloration is entirely safe, if due to beta carotene – but it needs to be distinguished from jaundice. In jaundice the whites of the eyes also turn yellow. Beta Carotene Beta-carotene prevents tissue damage by trapping organic free radicals. A large number of studies suggest that people with the highest intakes or blood levels of beta-carotene have a 20 to 40 per cent lower risk of cancer than those with the lowest intakes or blood levels.' Controlled studies have reported its efficacy in reversing precancerous lesions such as oral leukoplakia and intestinal metaplasia. Vitamin C Numerous epidemiologic studies suggest that the intake of vitamin C is inversely correlated with cancer risk. There is an inverse correlation between cancer risk and plasma/serum levels of this vitamin. A comprehensive review of the published literature suggests that supplementation with vitamin C may reduce the risk of cancer at several sites. Not only may supplemental vitamin C kill tumour cells, but it may stimulate the host's immune system against residual tumour cells. Vitamin C inhibits the formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines and nitrosamides from dietary nitrites and nitrates. High levels of vitamin C may enhance the effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Methionine DL-Methionine is an amino acid that counteracts free radical processes. It is used in the prevention and treatment of certain types of liver damage and is also a methyl donor used in anti-fatigue supplements. Selenium Selenium status is inversely related to cancer risk and serum selenium is an excellent predictor of the subsequent development of cancer. Selenium supplementation is associated with reduction in total cancer mortality, total cancer incidence, and the incidences of lung, colorectal, and prostate cancers. Selenium supplementation may reduce tissue damage from chemotherapy. Glutathione Glutathione is a tripeptide found in a variety of foods. It may function as an anticarcinogen by acting as an antioxidant and by binding with cellular mutagens. Its dietary intake may be inversely associated with oral and pharyngeal cancer risk. Total plasma levels of glutathione are markedly decreased in many types of cancer. Supplementation with glutathione may inhibit carcinogenesis. We are so grateful for CNR." - Catherine Bronson, Peterborough, ON CAISSE Formula Formulated by Richard DeSylva CAISSE Formula is an enhanced version of the famous herbal tea employed by Rene Caisse –the Bracebridge, Ontario nurse who treated terminally ill cancer patients. In addition to the original four herbs – Burdock root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm bark, and Rhubarb root –CAISSE Formula also includes Red Clover, Plantain leaves, and Prickly Ash bark. These latter herbs were added on the advice of a native medicine man in Manitoulin Island. [The 1933 Nobel Prize for Medicine was awarded to Dr. Otto Warburg for demonstrating that cancer is caused by a lack of Oxygen on the cellular level.] The mucopolysaccharides (or mucilage) contained in Slippery Elm bark are traditionally associated with healing inflamed and degraded surfaces, tissues, and membranes. They are necessary for the restoration of tissues damaged by the onslaught of cancer and other degenerative conditions. Rhubarb root contains Chrysophanic Acid, a substance thought to assist in dissolving the slimy membrane surrounding cancerous growth. Thus it will allow the nourishing reconstructive properties of other herbs to gain access to the interior of the tumour, gradually restoring it to the level of organization found in healthy tissue. Red Clover has long been used for impoverishment of the blood, largely due to its abundance of mineral salts. The depletion of these mineral salts plays a "background" role in the development of cancer and contributes to a disturbed polarity in the cell and the resulting appearance of mutagenicity. In addition, Red Clover contains genistein, a substance that has been demonstrated to inhibit cancer cell formation. Plantain leaves contain up to 14 different polysaccharide fractions that have immune-potentiating activity. Prickly Ash bark contains compounds known as "furanocoumarins" that have demonstrated ability to interfere with cancer cell replication. Suggested Use: 8 capsules daily, in divided amounts between meals. VIR™ (Anti-Viral/Bacterial) Rowland Formula 9 VIR™ is a specific immune-supporting formula to be taken at the first sign of cold or flu-like symptoms. During times of acute immune challenge, it is usually best to reduce or eliminate other supplements, to eat solid food only when genuinely hungry, to avoid dairy products and concentrated sugars/sweets, and to consume plenty of liquids (e.g., herbal teas, clear soups, dilute vegetable juices). VIR™ also provides specific immune support for chronic viral infections, such as herpes, shingles and HIV. Megophilus™ (Intestinal Immunity) Rowland Formula 10 Megophilus™ is a high potency probiotic supplement (2 billion live bacteria per capsule) that restores intestinal immunity by hindering the proliferation of harmful microorganisms, such as candida albicans, moulds, yeasts and fungi. The lactic bacteria in this product also improve digestion by stimulating intestinal peristalsis and by improving the solubility of mineral salts. Our new Heat Stable version of MEGOPHILUS is made from carefully selected strains of lactobacillus acidophilus and lactobacillus rhamnosus that are more stable at room temperature. These bacteria are then surrounded by a special grade of maltodextrin powder that seals out moisture. Water content of the capsules has been reduced to 0.1% (formerly 2 to 5%).
