Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a severe immune deficiency state
due to an infection by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The main methods
of transmission of HIV are sexual contact, blood to blood (through transfusions
or needle sharing in drug addicts), and from woman to fetus. Do not have sexual
intercourse with someone suspected of having HIV or who uses intravenous drugs.
Practice safe sex. Do not share a toothbrush, razor or anything that could become
contaminated with blood from someone with an HIV infection.
AIDS is not present in everyone infected with HIV. AIDS represents the end stage of the infection and severe depression of the immune system. The goal is to prevent the progression of the disease by supporting the immune system and slowing down the replication of the virus. The following recommendations are most suitable for HIV-positive people not demonstrating AIDS. Consume a diet based on whole, natural, unprocessed foods. Ensure an adequate protein intake from the diet, supplemented with Pro-Fibe™.
