"It is more important to know the person who has the condition
than it is to know which condition the person has."
Each body is biochemically unique. To be healthy we all require the same nutrients,
but not necessarily in the same amounts or proportions. To recover health that
has broken down may require unusually high amounts of specific nutrients –
which ones in which amounts depends on each person's unique weaknesses.
This manual summarizes the kinds of nutritional support that can help the body
to overcome various degenerative conditions. Some of these may be caused by nutritional
imbalances, others not. Regardless of which condition a person has,
sound nutrition will always be of benefit – either to correct
the cause or to help the body respond to whichever therapies may be most appropriate.
The recommendations herein are general. To make them more specific, one needs
to know more about the individual who has the condition. Two effective ways to
do this are: (1) Complete a self-scoring Nutri-Body® Analysis*,
as explained in my manual, Listen to Your Body, or (2) Consult a nutritional practitioner
who specializes in nutritional assessment.
This work lists the dietary modifications and food supplements that are most likely
to be of benefit to each condition in question. Not everyone with that particular
condition may need to follow all of the suggestions, depending on his/her
unique biochemistry. Where a number of options are listed, all of them should
at least be considered when tailoring a nutritional program to the individual.
How much of various supplements need to be taken each day and for how long are
also individual matters. To overcome a particular condition usually requires much
higher amounts of specific nutrients than it does to maintain health once the
condition has been overcome. The longer a condition has persisted, the more support
it will need. As improvement becomes established, then the supplements may be
tapered down to a maintenance level. Having a NutriBody® Analysis done every
six weeks or so provides excellent feedback as to one's progress in this regard.
For a nutritional program to be effective, all of the nutrients needed
to restore and maintain health need to be taken and in quantities high enough
to do the job. Nutrients function as a team, in co-operative and
synergistic ways. Every "link" in the nutritional "chain"
has to be supported in order to get results.
